Assessment:
The levels of the CIMA professional qualification are: operational (E1, F1 and P1), management (E2, F2 and P2), strategic (E3, F3 and P3) and the test of professional competence in management accounting (T4 parts A and B).
Students must pass all six operational and management papers before attempting strategic level. All three strategic papers must be passed before a student can attempt the T4 part B case study examination.
The Certificate level exams are computer based and all above levels such as Operational, Management, Strategic and Professional Competence levels are paper based assessment held twice a year – May and November.
Duration
CIMA Qualification should take about three to four years to complete on average. This is based on someone working full time, studying part time and who registers with the minimum entry requirements. The length of time can vary depending on your individual situation and you will have 10 years from the date you register to complete CIMA Qualification exams. LIT will expect a student to complete it in three years time and will issue a CAS (if required) for no more than three years.
